Head of the Meadow parking lot in Truro has been newly paved. Our previous photos showed the parking lot with golfball-size gravel -- which made it hard to roll your bike over to get to the trail entrance.

I have been told that some local citizens, sympathetic to the needs of cyclists, collected the tar from their cigarettes and snuck in one moonlit night to repave the lot.

However, I didn't just fall off a turnip truck; so I suspect they're pulling my leg.

Whoever did the paving deserves a heartfelt thanks and a big hug from all the cyclists who will use the parking lot and path in the future.
