Bob's
bike-trail mix. A great energy snack!
 (Use
a medium-size mixing bowl) Start off with some good ol'
Thompson Seedless raisins (about ½ cup).
Next, add 1 bag of
M&Ms (plain or nut - your choice) Or, 1 medium-size bag of Hershey's Kisses
(remember to remove the metal foil wrappers).
Then add 2 Hostess Snowballs
- diced into ½" chunks (or substitute those raspberry 'twinkie-like'
things). Mounds or Almond Joy are also acceptible substitutes. Mix well
together in a sandwich bag (shake lightly to combine ingredients). Marinate
the whole lot in 1 cup of Jolt Cola or Red Bull Energy Drink for 1 hour, then
put it in the fridge to solidify. And voila!
You can break off chunks
during your ride. And pieces can be used effectively as missiles to fend off pesky
squirrels. NOTE: Cranberry or Orange Juice may be substituted for the above
drinks if you're extremely health conscious. Now
look at the results! Guaranteed, you'll go like a bat out of h_ll! Happy
cycling! NOTE: This is not a Martha Stuart recipe. It is from
the "Tongue-in-cheek" department of our web site.
