Directions
for this first model will follow as soon as we photograph the steps in building.
However, if you already have knowledge of paper model building, you should be
able to assemble this model without any trouble.
Use a good quality cardstock
or coverstock to print out the pieces. When printing the model base pieces and
the people on bikes, set your printer at "bleed" and select "Photo
quality paper" -- even though you are using cardstock or coverstock. Print
the display window glass on clear acetate.
The
2 base sections can be joined from beneath using cellophane (Scotch) tape. Or,
you may want to affix the base to a piece of foamcore for added stability.
Images
of bikes and people with bikes are also printed in reverse direction for variety.
You could also print these on clear acetate to get a 'see-through' effect with
the bike wheels.
The best type of glue for assembling this model is permanent
stick glue. Liquid glue will cause the building sides and other parts to warp. NOTE:
It is advised that small children do not attempt to make this model, because the
use of a sharp X-acto knife is required. HAVE
